Former Major Leaguer Jose Offerman is causing trouble yet again. Over two years ago Offerman attacked a pitcher (seen above) with his baseball bat breaking the pitcher's finger, got suspended indefinitely and has not played in the US since that incident. Two days ago in a game in the Dominican Republic Jose Offerman, this time as a manager, got into a dispute with an umpire and threw a punch that appears to have grazed the umpire. His future in baseball does not look to promising.

Sony recently unveiled its own camcorder to compete with the Flip. Some cool features about the Sony Bloggie are that it allows for full 360 degree panoramic view, high-definition video, the ability to take still pictures and you can rotate the lens around so you can see yourself on the screen.

The remodeling of the blog is still under construction so stay tuned.

Let me first say sorry to everyone for being absent for a few days. Been without internet for almost a week and props to Jordan for keeping the content fresh. Anyways, please excuse our appearance, we're redesigning On The Next Step, and will have the site back soon fresher than it was before. Guaranteed.

Some call this the world's most complicated watch; maybe because it takes 1,483 parts to move the hands and 36 compilations. It took Franck Muller himself, 5 years to design the watch and is currently retailing for a whopping 2.7 million dollars. The first one was unveiled in Monte Carlo. Soooo to say the least, you must be a BOSS to cop this fine piece of wrist candy.

Believe it or not, this is Jada's verse from a song called Gangs In New York off of Game's The R.E.D. album. Jim Jones is also featured on the track, but it is still up in the air whether or not the track will make the cut to be on the album.

One of the last leaks we're going to get from the Capo's Ghost of Rich Porter mixtape, comes Bust A Move featuring Shooter Holly. For those who don't know, Rich Porter was an infamous Harlem drug dealer who's younger brother was kidnapped in a scheme for ransom (Porter was later found slain), but the point is it makes for a badass mixtape title. Either way, don't sleep on this because from what I've heard (this track included) this shit should be fire.

According to Entertainment News, Forbes and Billboard.com, Jay-Z and Beyonce were the most wealthy financially from 2008 to 2009. The couple unified for a whopping 122 million dollars between all of their endorsements, music and other sponsors. Believe it or not, Beyonce lead the way with $87 million including payments from Nintendo, General Mills, Crystal Geyser, L’OrĂ©al, Giorgio Armani and Samantha Thavasa handbags. On the flip side, Jay-Z brought in a respectful $35 million primarily from music and private investments explicitly the struggling New Jersey Nets.

Max talked about this kid from Bedsta Brooklyn not too long ago. This video is extremely representative of this dudes music and urbanity, displaying an array of styles and objects from the 80's. Expect to hear more about London soon.

Can't help but nod your head to this snippet.

This is off the deluxe edition of Snoop's Malice In Wonderland album which is due out on March 9th. I like it wayyy more than the original...

Off Diplo's Free Gucci mixtape comes this banger. With the entire country so cold and icy, what better time than now to hop on the bandwagon. Gucci!!! Too much?

Gucci Mane - No No No

So I just started immersing myself in the amazing absurdity that is MTV's Jersey Shore. If you don't watch this show you should congratulate yourself for either living under a rock or not succumbing to the ugly face of pop culture. Anyway, to cut to the chase: It's been reported that Snookie, the guidette who takes a fist to the face, just got paid $10,000 to host a fist pumping contest at the Hard Rock at FSU in Florida. To add insult to injury, Snookie's gelled-up counterparts only make $7,500 for their club appearances. Guess being a guido isn't the worst idea after all...

Lowkey dropped us off with an unreleased verse from Drizzy and Trey's critically acclaimed single "Successful".

Aziz Ansari might just be my new favorite funny man. While he's hardly new to the comedy circuit, he's made appearances in Flight of the Concords, Funny People and Observe and Report to name just a few places, he is about to have his own comedy special on Comedy Central. If you don't already know who he is, hit the jump to catch some hilarious Aziz videos...

I'm sure most of you are already well-aware of who Animal Collective is. These dudes make some real tripped out, off-the-wall music but it's actually enjoyable. Their latest album, Merriweather Post Pavillion, stays true to their spaced out jamming style but still possesses enough pop elements to make all the hipsters cry about how mainstream they've become. Regardless, check out this video for the song Brothersport. Far out duuuude!

I'm not down with the whole rereleasing Jordan shoes, but these may classify as an exception. Previously spotted last year, Jordan Brand preps for the launch of its latest Spizike colorway, inspired by the popular fictional character Mars Blackmon. The kicks take on a red, white, and blue colorway atop a white base with Jordan’s signature elephant print. A launch is set for tomorrow, Saturday January 9th via Jordan retailers.

Mr. Douthit???

Patrick Douthit, aka 9th Wonder, has been invited by Duke University to teach an African American Studies course for the spring semester. The course will review songs from the Civil Rights & Black Power Movements, 9th focusing on "sampling soul".

“The class is studying soul music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, the neighborhoods it came out of and where was the influence for this song to come out of,” Wonder said in an interview, “I’m excited man, it’s a new frontier for me. I’m always excited for new frontiers.”

But don't get it twisted, this is not Wonder's first time in the classroom. He previously taught a class on hip-hop at North Carolina Central University. I would love to take a class with Wonder as my teacher!

Snoop pretends to be a parking attendant for a CBS sketch where celebrities do ordinary jobs then deny who they are when asked. The best part is Snoop saying how he came in 5th place in a look-alike contest. Check out the full 2 minute video.

This video is quite humorous to say the least. Shout outs to Bush, Obama, Palin, Clinton, Swine, Phelps, Octomom, Vick, Favre, Schwarzenegger, Sotomayor & all the others.

Here's the first official music video from On Fire off Wayne's upcoming album Rebirth. Much as the title implies, this track is based off the "She's On Fire" sample from Scarface. (You know that scene where Tony is dancing with Michelle Pfeiffer for the first time in the club, yea that song.) Anyway, I'm not too crazy about this track, or any of the cuts I've heard off Rebirth thus far. I wonder if I'll grow to like this album after hearing it several times, word to 808's.

Youth In Revolt starring Michael Cera opens on Friday. This movie looks great, sort of like Me, Myself & Irene which is an awesome movie if you have never seen it. Anyway check out this trailer, it's pretty funny.

This is a straight jam right here. The track is off the producers mixtape. I'm BACKKKKKKK...

2010 Tracks

Alright, I apologize for my extended leave of absence, but I'm back for good and thats all you need to know. Props to Max for keeping the blog afloat, but he's still a HATER. A ton of music has been released in the last 2 weeks, but frankly I'm not diggin most of it. Should I be posting new release tracks, even if I don't like them?!? For the downloads to what I am bumpin in 2010 hit the jump.

The Roc's flagship producer Just Blaze is saying he's leaving hip-hop for house. JB even played a house set the other night to prove it. His first song? "Exhibits g, f and p." Otherwise known as Guido Fist Pump. Just Blaaaaaaze!

Can anyone tell me who the girl is in this Mr. Hudson video? I can't seem to find the answer.

Just saw this video of Artie Lange from MAD TV. For those of you who aren't familiar with Artie, he was in Dirty Work with Norm MacDonald and is also a member of Howard Stern's radio show. I think he's really funny and here's another reason why.

Ok people, I know I have been absent for an extended period of time now, please don't hate me for it. Between Vail and Miami, I am finally restationed back at home. Today, January 3rd 2010, marks the 22nd birthday of my friend & fellow blogger Maxwell Scott. So if you get a chance, shoot him a message or email wishing him a happy new year and happy birthday. A lot more to come from me in the next few days, so stay tuned...but for now its Max's time.

I'm pretty sure Jordan posted something about this mixtape the last time he posted, which might of been over a week ago. No shots. Shots fired. Anyway, hit the jump for tracklisting and download of this talented duo's latest work.

Never really was a huge fan of this track, but just saw the video and it's sick.

Check out this David Guetta production with Shanell and Weezy. It's kind of cool, I'm feeling it. No homo.
